About Us

LKG Quilts is located on beautiful Lake Gaston in eastern North Carolina. We began hand quilting in 1992 with our son's collections of athletic t-shirts. Those treasured quilts provided our sons with priceless childhood keepsakes and struck much interest among family and friends. The sheer joy of such a unique, personal gift has inspired us to share these special quilts with others. Throughout our 14 years of combined experience, and our associations with local quilting guilds and the National Quilters Association, we have learned that each project has its own powerful personality that is reflective of each of the people involved with the quilt. We understand the importance and value of each quilt and handle each quilt as if it were our own. We enjoy quilting and a varity of other projects including cross-stitching, beach bags, clothing vests, baby accessories, and wall hangings. We are always interested in the latest trends and craft projects. LKG Quilts often quilts for various charity projects. Recent projects include Johns Hopkins Hospital, Duke Hospital, Ronald McDonald House, Oxford Orphanage, various churches and schools.
