FAQ Quilting Questions

1) I have Grandmas quilt pieces can you piece these into a quilt top? We can piece( sew) your squares into a quilt top and add a batting and backing. Your heirloom can be quilted in any design you want. 2) Is your quilting machine computerized? No we control the quilting with a hand guided control arm. The stitches are controlled by the person guiding the machine. 3) Do you have to baste all your quilts before quilting them? No. Our machine has three rollers. We pin the top, batting and backing to the rollers and attach clips to the sides of the quilt. Please do not baste or pin your quilt top. 4) What materials do you use in your quilt tops? Our quilts can be made of new fabrics, t shirts, family pictures, recyclable clothes etc. Example: One customer sent us pieces of clothing that belong to each person in the family. We recycled and cut the clothing into shapes to fit her required measurements. We had no idea what pieces belong to who and we placed the fabric that belonged to a mother and child next to each other. The customer was in tears (happy tears) when she saw the end results. Definitions Quilting Designs Pantograph – The same design quilted over the total quilt. This is the least expensive type of quilting. Block – Each block will be individually quilted. An example is stitching in the ditch and out lining the theme on your block. A block design such as flowers or shapes of objects can be put in each block.
