Wings to Fly

Thinking of others is something that is often a part of LKG Quilts. One quilting sister from Lake Gaston Piecemakers gave us a quilt top she had started and had not finished. My husband a member of the Royal Hart Lodge No. 497, thought it would be a great project to help raise funds for the Masonic Home for Children. A quilt raffle was put into action with the help of our quilting sisters and lodge members selling tickets. The queen size quilt was titled “Wings to Fly” and a winner was announced at the annual St. John’s Day Picnic. All proceeds went to the Masonic Home for Children in Oxford, North Carolina. It’s an honor to be a part of a community that takes time to help others to benefit children.
